Industry leaders explore ideas for the factories, energy systems and supply chains of the future

By Elly Yates-Roberts |

Hannover Messe Digital Edition will take place online on 12-16 April. Under the theme ‘Industrial Transformation’, thought leaders will present their technologies and ideas for the factories, energy systems and supply chains of the future.

As a knowledge and networking platform for the manufacturing, energy and logistics industries, the event will provide attendees with opportunities to learn more about a range of topics and technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, logistics IT, industrial software, batteries and fuel cells.

The digital event will build on the in-person Hannover Messe to help attendees strengthen their companies’ competitiveness. Using the exhibitor and product search, participants can access product overviews directly and follow best-case applications, video tutorials and chats to find solutions for optimising processes.

The event’s interactive conference programme will address industry-related questions, such as “What role does AI play in the industry?”, “How can your data generate added value?” and “What potential does hydrogen offer for industry?” According to the event organisers, “whether you are looking for concrete use cases or long-term strategies for the future, the ideas and visions of the speakers will inspire you and help you develop concrete measures for your company”.

The online interface also enables direct connections with exhibitors, speakers and visitors. “The next efficiency gain, the next partnership, the next successful business case is just a click away,” say the event organisers.

Speakers include: Roland Busch, CEO of Siemens; Herbert Deiss, CEO of Volkswagen; Neal Meldrum, business strategy leader at Microsoft; and Angela Merkel, chancellor of Germany.
