Dynamics 365 for Sales platform to be combined with Indegene’s Omnipresence platform
Microsoft has entered a new partnership with global healthcare solutions provider Indegene with the aim of creating the next generation of commercial cloud applications for the life sciences industry.
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales platform will be combined with Indegene’s Omnipresence platform, creating a modern and mobile customer relationship management (CRM) solution.
This solution will be designed to meet the needs of sales and medical representatives and help them better engage with healthcare practitioners.
The new partnership will see Indegene and Microsoft work together to deliver purpose built tools that offer insight, drive positive business outcomes, and address specific challenges faced in the Life Sciences sector. The platform will help life science manufacturers tackle the challenges they face in the sector, while simplifying digital content development and management.
Analytics, machine learning and optimisation within the platform will also offer additional support to users and help improve the customer experience. Users will benefit from data driven recommendations and predictive insights, and be able to provide a consistent user experience for customers across all touchpoints.
Planned advancements within the new platform include a conversational CRM interface, which will harness voice recognition technology. The platform will also offer content authoring, approval and distribution tools, which have been designed specifically for users in the life sciences sector.
“We are excited to combine Indegene’s Omnipresence solution and extensive life sciences expertise with our Dynamics 365 customer engagement platform,” said Jujhar Singh, corporate vice president, Microsoft Dynamics 365. “This potent combination will give life sciences organisations and their sales, medical and support teams the very best in platform, productivity and engagement processes built into an industry-focused application designed to meet their unique needs.”
The new solution is expected to be available from July 2017, and will be deployable as a complete solution or individual modules.
“Together with Microsoft, we are building the new global standard for life sciences commercial clouds,” said Sanjay Virmani, executive vice president of Indegene. “Current enterprise commercial cloud solutions for life sciences are not keeping up with the needs of healthcare professionals and industry reps, yet they continue to charge high subscription fees. In this rapidly evolving industry, it is important to be able to analyse key markers – such as utilisation rates by reps, depth of responses by healthcare providers and the overall return on investment – to deliver a high quality of care and service while keeping costs down. Our joint customers will benefit from a solution built with improved business outcomes in mind.”
