Technology Record

The best of enterprise solutions from the Microsoft partner ecosystem

Winter 2022

Technology Record Magazine

Production Editor: Elly Yates-Roberts
Executive Editor: Andy Clayton-Smith

As 2022 draws to a close, economic forecasts for the year ahead are, at best, challenging. During this period of uncertainty, industry and civic leaders are looking to technology to drive productivity and reduce costs.

As we learn in our cover story, the answer for many organisations will come from artificial intelligence. Microsoft’s Lili Cheng and Darren Bennett tell us about how the progress of intelligent technologies including mixed reality applications is empowering businesses to achieve more, and Microsoft partners explain how customers are using their solutions to succeed.

Elsewhere, we hear from recently appointed chief partner officer and corporate vice president of global partner solutions Nicole Dezen about the creation of this new role and her aspirations for Microsoft and its global ecosystem of partners in the year ahead.

As this issue of the magazine is published, the National Retail Federation is preparing for its annual NRF Big Show in New York. We talk with Shelley Bransten, Microsoft’s global vice president for retail and consumer goods, about the structural resilience which digital technology is bringing to the retail industry.

We also talk with Indranil Sircar, chief technology officer of manufacturing and supply chain at Microsoft, about the importance of weaving together digital and physical environments, while Leonard Arul and Scott Davis discuss the potential of personalised media services to improve experiences and revenue.

On top of all this, we have our usual selection of industry features, news, case studies and thought leadership.

A packed issue! We hope you enjoy the read.
