Dr Michael Grieves, widely recognised as the father of digital twins, will feature among a host of speakers at IOT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC), which will take place on 31 January – 2 February 2023.

Grieves is the executive director and chief scientist at the Digital Twin Institute and an international expert in product life cycle management (PLM). According to IOTSWC, his position as a leader in digital twin technology came after a conference he held on PLM in 2002, where he outlined an idea called ‘doubleganger’. This later became ‘digital twin’ during his collaboration with NASA in 2010.

Beyond Grieves’ participation in the event, attendees will also be able to hear from industry experts Sean O’Regain, deputy head of industry 5.0 at the European Commission; Lookman Fazal, chief information and digital officer at New Jersey Transit; Seonhi Ro, manufacturing industry 4.0 specialist at Ford; Sandeep Shekhawat, director of engineering at WalmartLabs; Cristian Paun, global digital leader at Dupont; Julien Bertolini, IoT expert at Volvo; and Jesper Toubol, vice president of moulding production operations at Lego Group.
