Barclays Bank is rolling out Microsoft 365 Copilot to 100,000 of its employees globally with the aim of transforming the worker experience though AI agents.
Microsoft 365 Copilot will be integrated into the bank’s own colleague productivity tool, creating a single agent that enables employees to access the bank’s ecosystem of collaboration tools, portals and online resources.
Barclays employees will gain access to several new AI-powered tools, such as Colleague AI Agent, which will deliver self-service solutions and help workers to book business travel, check policy compliance and find answers to human resources-related questions quickly.
Other tools include Content Search, which will allow employees to gain relevant information easily through personalised semantic search.
“At Barclays, we’ve been leveraging the power of AI, and now generative AI, to drive deeper insights, improve efficiency and create more intuitive experience across the organisation,” said Craig Bright, group chief information officer and deputy group co-chief operating officer at Barclays. “Our rollout of Copilot, integrated with our colleague productivity tool, is a significant step forward in simplifying the way we work, making it easier to get things done. It also highlights the collaborative partnership with Microsoft – where innovation is shaped by practical application at scale.”
