Microsoft partner SnapOn Software has helped SIG, a provider of aseptic packaging solutions, to scale its Microsoft Teams deployment.

SIG currently operates in 68 countries and has over 5,500 employees. It began migrating to a cloud-based ecosystem as part of its broader digital transformation initiative in 2018, and in 2019 Microsoft Teams was selected to boost internal collaboration across international offices.

A pilot programme was launched to test Teams internally before a company-wide rollout. However, the IT teams quickly became overwhelmed with approval requests and user frustration.

SIG realised it needed an automated governance solution to handle global Teams provisioning and so turned to SnapOn Software’s Enterprise Governance Suite.

“SnapOn Software automates Microsoft Teams provisioning,” said Andrei Alexandru-Nicusor, digital workplace specialist at SIG. “Users no longer wait on approvals, they just create what they need within the boundaries we’ve set.”

Since adopting the Enterprise Governance Suite, SIG has deployed Microsoft Teams company-wide with high user satisfaction, reduced IT workload and streamlined governance.

“Without SnapOn Software, our IT team would have been swamped,” said Alexandru-Nicusor. “But instead, we’ve seen exceptional adoption across our global workforce. SnapOn Software has helped us build a unified, secure and scalable digital environment that supports our global operations.”
