Microsoft extends presence in China with new CETC partnership

Microsoft has extended its presence in China by entering a partnership with China Electronics Technology Group (CETC).

The partnership has been entered with the aim of providing world-class operating system technology and services to users in the country.

Microsoft and CETC will look to explore how to support the configuration, deployment and maintenance of localised Windows 10 within the computer systems of users in specialised fields. These include government institutions and critical infrastructure state-owned enterprises.

The partnership will also see relevant CETC subsidiary companies join the Microsoft Partner Network and enter into a Microsoft Premier Support for Development agreement. As part of this, Microsoft will provide training and certification to these companies and will cover the latest technology for Windows deployment, support and best practices.

CETC will start internal testing for its support of Windows 10 over the coming months with a view to deepening service to these specialised fields.
